Intrastat is the European system for recording the flow of goods among European Union member states. It applies to every entrepreneur who trades with other Community countries and whose turnover exceeds a specific threshold. These are determined every year and announced on the website of the Central Statistical Office.
Companies that meet the above conditions must submit an Intrastat declaration. This is a collective monthly report on goods transported within the EU. IMPORTANT! A month in this case means a calendar month, not 30 days. Failure to send information on time may result in financial penalties and criminal sanctions.
